The New Science of Sharing

This article is a couple months old, but I just stumbled across it weekly (in Business Week online, of all places). Short article which very nicely summarizes some of the benefits of open-access, data sharing, collaborative research and the future of scientific publishing. Nice to see that they reference the Earth System Grid as one of the pioneers in 'linked' science.
