Stewart Brand's Merry Biohackers

Good ol' Stewart Brand has been getting some press in several of the blogs that I visit [a couple are here:(TierneyLab & synthesis)] - this time referencing his views on the promise of genetic engineering from a couple of years ago (TR) & a recent discussion of the potential benefits of synthetic biology (NYT). While the potential technologies are just a piece of the puzzle and certainly are no panacea, it would be nice to see Mr. Brand's message get out, inspiring a new generation of techies to get on the bus.
