Scale Success (so far....)

One of the ongoing challenges when trying to build physical models that closely (or even partially) resemble nature, is the issue of scale.   As such, one of the first steps in downscaling is an assessment of the sensitivity of coarse-scale models with finer-scale areas of interest, particularly when microclimate biophysical feedback can be significant.  This is just one example, but we are seeing some success in being able to represent surface parameters with better precision.  More to follow:
