La Nina update

Following the earlier LN post, this MODIS-Aqua image is showing the start of equatorial cold water breaking down. The defined cold anomaly that was visible and quite in tact in the previous November2007 image has (as expected) started to break down and be replaced by warmer waters moving to the surface. I'll put up the December composite image as soon as it is available from NASA. The +2C warm mass at 150-200m west of the date line is also better organized than it was a couple of weeks ago.
